Prayers Please!

Tomorrow I am having a hysterecemy. Pre-op didn't go as planned because they lost my file. So the doctor did not want to remove my ovaries as originally planned. For the last 24 hours I have had two separate conversations with the doctor and he still doesn't want to remove them. As of the end of today he still has not reviewed my file b/c it was at the opposite office as him today. So please pray he has a change of heart and has seen my file before surgery tomorrow.

Our DMV has such a sense of humor

Our state is transitioning to new license plates. Well I recently paid my property taxes on my vehicle so in return it was my turn to get my new license plate. This is what they sent me.

I am an insurance agent so in my line of work DWI stands for Driving While Intoxicated. I wonder if I can get a new plate?

A family weekend

This weekend we traveled to GA to celebrate Marc h and April birthdays. A bonus to the weekend was Mike's aunt, uncle (from Canada) and his second cousin joined us for brunch today.

Guess who is getting a new set of tubes.

Tomorrow morning Ella is getting a new set of tubes. Her first set has been hanging out in her ear canal and needless to say hasn't been working. So please keep her in your prayers tomorrow. The surgery is quick but I hate they have to put her under anesthesia.

We have SNOW!

We are thrilled to have snow. The last time we had snow was 2 years ago and it really didn't amount to much. This snow has the makings of a good snow. We can't wait to wake up tomorrow and play with Ella in it. We also plan to meet Hudson Medcalf outside for a playdate.

This past Monday Ella had her 2 year doctor's appointment. We found out that her tubes in both ears are not working and are just hanging out in her ear canals. She has an appointment tomorrow with the ENT to discuss redoing the tubes (unless it gets cancelled). Ella is holding strong at 22 lbs (7%) and 32.5 inches tall (17%).
Developmentally Ella is doing great. Ella is using 3 word sentences and is such a chatterbox. She also is starting to pretend which is very amusing. Right now she has no interest in potty training which is fine. She can go up and down (standing up) the stairs by herself.
Last week we started trying to get Ella to sleep in her bed again. Sunday night she did alright and only waking 6 times during the night. Monday thru Thursday she did great and would sleep from 9:00 til 5:00 or 6:00. Friday night she woke 5 times before 1:00. So we are still working on it. Her bedtime has been pushed back and I think that has helped.
