Ella's 3rd Birthday

This past Saturday was Ella's 3rd birthday and we celebrated it with a few of her friends at The Glazing Pot. We started our day with a call from the A family which was a pleasant surprise. Here are a few pictures from her party.

Christmas

Ella asked Santa for a blue present, a pink purse with monies, lipstick and a puppy like Chloe. Santa brought everything except the puppy. Hopefully soon enough we will have the new puppy. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Here are a few pictures from our Christmas.

All things Halloween

Here are a few pictures (for Amanda) from pumpkin picking to Halloween.

Ella dressed up as a rockstar. Her band name was Ella Jam (we are a Pearl Jam loving family). I was her manager and Mike was her guitar tech.

Ta Da

Here is my kitchen before. We have only lived in this house 3.5 years. Some of the choices the previous owner made are head scratching. Like the stainless steal back splash, one coat of paint on the cabinets and painting straight over torn off wall paper.

So here is the new kitchen. We had the doors replaced, new counter tops, painted walls, and cabinets, replaced lighting fixtures, new sink, new hardware and new opening for bar area.

First Day of School

Today Ella started school/daycare. She handled the whole situation a whole lot better than I did. I started crying in the room and then later when I got to work. She smiled and enjoyed her fruit loops as we left her there.

Mike started his new job three weeks ago and has already been out of town two weeks. (Hence the lack of posting) Hopefully with Ella going to school it will make things alittle easier.

We also are in the middle of a kitchen remodel which should be done by Friday so check back for before and after pictures.

Friends of our Stephanie and David are trying to get their 5th child home from Liberia. He is fighting for his life and needs to get ASAP. Please look at the Alvin's website here to learn more. They also were featured last night on our local news and you can see their story here. Right now the the flight cost is $94,000. Stephanie and David were a huge part in us starting Ella's adoption. We hope and pray they can get Alvin home in time. Thank you in advance for looking or listening to their story.
