Ella had her 2nd haircut

It may not seem like a big deal but it was for me. We cut about an inch and a half off to try and thicken it up a bit. Here are some before and after pictures.

Hodge Podge

First and foremost I want to acknowledge that Ella is 20...(ahh Robin, she would be 21 months old-MM) months old today. Mike and I are enjoying every day with her as she grows and blossoms into the beautiful little girl she is.

A few weeks ago Ella had a sinus infection and when she went to the doctor she was weighed. I am happy to report she is 23.5 lbs. So she has gained back the weight she lost and by now has to have gained even more. Everyday she amazes us in the new words she says and the things she is understanding.

This past Wednesday my parents took Ella to meet Santa Clause. At first she didn't like him but seemed to warm up long enough for the picture. (which turned out very cute I might add) Here is a picture of Ella that Mike took before he took her to my parents house.

How cute are these little shoes. I have to admit they did have little pom-poms on them but we cut those off. Today Ella wore these shoes to school today for the first time and you can see her cute little outfit below. My parents normally pick Ella up on Tuesdays and Thursdays from school. Today the teach told my mom that she went most of the day with out shoes because she kept tripping over her feet. (Yes they are the right size) I guess she has to get use to them so we will wear them around the house more before we wear them to school again.

She was thrilled about having her picture taken. Can't you tell.

She started taking her clothes off. Not really, just the vest.

I haven't posted as much since Ella is home because this is normally how the day ends.

With the time change it is getting harder and harder to get pictures of Ella. However Christmas came a little early in our household and we got a new camera. So hopefully the posts and pictures will pickup. This weekend we will be trying to take our Christmas picture if weather permitting.

Ella continues to amaze us every day. Her teachers are always telling us how they are amazed at her big vocabulary. Lately she has started calling us mommy and daddy instead of mama and dada. She also started making little sentences like "I got you" when playing chase. Two nights ago Mike got our domino's out and she has really enjoyed playing with those. She will try and stand them all up or move them from one area to another, or stack them.

Here are a few pictures with the new camera.

Pictures from the mountains

Mike and I had a wonderful trip to the mountains with friends. While we missed Ella we knew she was well taken care of. It seems like she has gotten taller and is saying even more since we left.

On Saturday guys were troopers and did a little shopping and the rest of the time we just relaxed and watched football. Saturday night we made Smores and played several games of Catch Phrase.

Weekend Getaway

Mike and I are going to the mountains this weekend with two other couples. Ella will be staying home with her Nina and Papa. I am sure she will not even miss us because she will be having so much fun. This will be our first time leaving her for the weekend. She spent the night with my parents in October but this will be a huge test for all of us. Hopefully the leaves are still changing and I can post some pictures when I get back. Have a great weekend.

Halloween Pictures

We had a great Halloween. First we went to a few houses of people we knew then we met up with two other families to hit a few houses of people we didn't know. Ella was such a trooper and just enjoyed the ride. Here are a few pictures of Halloween. Enjoy!
Chloe even dressed up.

The two girls all dressed up. Chloe even went trick or treating.

Last but definitely not least Ella with Anne and Dave. Anne and Dave are very special to us. Anne walks Chloe everyday because she loves Chloe as much as we do. Dave has recently given up a lot of his free time to help Mike assemble a storage shed. They both are wonderful people and we are grateful to have them as friends let alone neighbors. Thank you for all you do for us.

PS. Ella is a lamb not a bunny or sheep. There has been a little confusion on what she actually dressed up as.
