Almost done with Ella's readoption

This morning I went to the Social Security office and had Ella's name changeD and status changed. All that is left to do is to apply for her US passport and Mike is taking her tomorrow to have her picture taken. Once I am done with her adoption I won't know what to do with myself. Maybe I need to start on the next adoption (j/k).

Updates

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. This past week we had or 2nd post placement visit, I got a new cell phone and recently fell victim to Facebook.

Ella is talking up a storm. She is now saying ouchie and will show you her boo boo, she is saying and using mama and dada now (she has been able to say these but just wouldn't use them). If you ask her if she needs to be changed she will go get the changing pad and wipes out and lay down for you. She will show you her belly button, teeth, nose and mouth if asked. It has been so much fun to watch her little personality develop since being home. We are coming up on 5 months home and that still blows my mind. Now on to the pictures.

Why can I not get a space in between my paragraphs like on the We are Home post? I have tried editing it and putting 2 or 3 spaces in between and it still doesn't post the space.

Sneak Peak (Celebrate Adoption)

Stacy has posted a sneak peak on her blog of our Celebrate Adoption pictures. You can see them here. She did such a great job with Ella and I can't wait to see the rest of the proofs.

We are home.

We arrived in Florida late Wednesday night. Ella was such a trooper on the way down. We stopped at the welcome center in Florida to wait on Sara and Jimmi who were just behind us and let Ella stretch her legs. Right before we decided to leave the rest area I changed Ella's diaper and carried her with me while I threw the diaper away. As I stepped off the curb I lost my footing and both Ella and I fell to the concrete. Ella is/was fine, I broke her fall but it scared me to death.

Thursday we visited my dad's parents first and then headed over to visit my mom's mother. Just before we got to her house she fell and broke her leg. So our visit was very short since she was on her way to the doctor. Turns out she has a spiral fracture from her knee all the way down to her ankle. Monday she will go to the doctor to see if she will need surgery. Thursday night we had a nice dinner with my Daryl (my cousin), Chip (her boyfriend) and Sara and Jimmi.

Friday we went to the beach. As you will see below in the pictures we all had a great time. That night we had a cookout at Daryl's parent's house and then headed over to granny's house to watch the fireworks. Ella stayed up during most of the fireworks and enjoyed them.

Saturday we did a little shopping and visited all the grandparents again. That night we decided to order pizza with Chip and Daryl then pack. (Thank you Chip and Daryl for letting us stay with you!)

Sunday we headed home and Ella wasn't the little angel on the way home. While in Florida Ella cut 3 teeth and has one more that is almost through.
