She's on the move

It's official... Ella is now a walker. Yesterday we noticed her walking more than crawling and today it was confirmed.This video is from a couple of days ago but you get the picture.

My mom reminded me that I had a rocking chair from when I was younger that Ella may enjoy now. So I got it out and cleaned it up. Ella played in it for a good while and this is what Mike caught with the camera.

Happy 14 Months!

I can't believe Ella is already 14 months old. Where has the time gone? As you can see from the ticker above she has already been home 6 weeks. She has made tremendous progress since being at home. Ella is eating table food, drinking from a straw, she says "bye, bye", "Mike", "mama", "dada", "hey" and "get". She also is walking quite a bit however her preferred mode of transportation is still crawling. She is also happy in the mornings now when we go to get her up and she going down for bed and naps MUCH easier.



Last week I finally got our announcements back so as of Saturday they are all now in the hands of the Postal Service. I hope I didn't forget anyone, if I did please email me your address. After everyone has time to recieve their announcement I will post it here for everyone else to see. I am pretty please with how they turned out.

And Another Baby Gets to Come Home!!!!

Jeremiah was issued his PINK slip today. Avery and Suzanne will have their embassy appointment Friday the 25th and they pick up their VISA on Monday the 28th. They have had a long road to bringing Jeremiah home and we are so happy for their family.

Back to Work

Today was my first day back at work and it was hard. I cried on the way to work but was fine once I got there. Through out the day I had to email Mike several times today asking what was going on. (Mike works from our house on Monday's). Mike's mom takes care of Ella on Monday's at our house and my mom and sister will take care of Ella Tuesday through Friday. Ella did fine and held up better than I did today. She is such a great baby.



My grandmother is coming up later this week from Florida and will get to meet Ella for the first time. Granny hates having her picture taken so I can't make any promises on posting pictures of Ella and granny.

Gabi is coming home!

Amanda, Ed and Gabi have their Embassy appointment Friday April 18th and they will pick up Gabi's VISA on Monday and return home on Tuesday the 22nd. We are so happy for their family.

Double Ear Trouble

Just got back from a follow up visit about Ella's ear infection and she still has one. Not only in one ear but now in both. My poor little baby. I just pray she can start feeling better soon. She is up to 19 lbs 8.5 ozs. That is 2 lbs since being home in a month. She had not gained any weight from January to March.


Also Ella is taking a few steps when persuaded to. I will try and get some video and posted in the next few days.


In other news. Who do you think Ella is calling for in this video??? She has learned to say a certain some one's name around here. I guess we have to make a serious effort to start calling each other mommy & daddy.

Our foster mom made Ella a cake on her birthday and took pictures. Amanda and Ed were kind enough to send us the cameras. Looks like a great cake and a good time was had. A few other pictures are included as well.












I have been sick over the past few days so I don't have any other pictures of Ella. Tomorrow is suppose to be a nice day so I will try and take a few pictures. Have a great weekend.

Darn Dog

Today I finally got some ponytails at Target so I could do pigtails in Ella's hair. Aren't her pigtails too cute.

Now the reason for my title to the post. Chloe thinks they are for her to take out. She had already gotten a hold of the pigtails before I got the camera and here is what was left.

Happy Birthday to my sweet Husband! Today Mike turns 34 years old. He is a wonderful husband and father. I love you!

In Ella news.

• She is getting around with her push walker very well


• Ella is using most of the furniture to walk around so it will not be long before she is walking on her own.


• At night she she MAY give a small wimper after putting her down for bed.


• She is still cyring when we put her down for a nap but only for about 5 minutes.


• She still is taking 2 naps and each are only 20-25 minutes if we are lucky. (I wish she napped like Gabi)
